Our Story
Bristol's trusted
Osteopathic & Podiatry clinic
Established in 2001 by Claire Howard-Robinson, Yew Tree Clinic has grown to become one of Bristol's leading providers of osteopathy, podiatry and complementary therapies. Located in the heart of Westbury-on-Trym in North Bristol, our clinic was founded with a vision to create a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
Claire, who qualified as an osteopath in 1992, brings over 30 years of experience to the clinic. Before establishing Yew Tree Clinic, she gained valuable experience working at the prestigious Osteopathic Centre for Children in London and later opened her own practices in North and South Bristol in 1995.
Claire's passion for holistic healthcare led her to bring together a hand-picked team of experienced practitioners - including podiatry services from the clinic's inception - all dedicated to improving our patients' quality of life.
Podiatry has been a cornerstone of Yew Tree Clinic since we opened in 2001. When our founding podiatrist retired in 2020, Hannah joined the team and has since expanded our podiatry services with modern procedures and techniques.
With demand growing, we've recently welcomed a second podiatrist to the team, allowing us to offer more appointments and a wider range of specialist foot care services.
Our Philosophy
At Yew Tree Clinic, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Our approach is founded on the understanding that the body functions as an integrated unit, and that structural imbalances - whether in your spine, pelvis, or feet - can affect overall health and wellbeing.
Our Team
Our clinic brings together experienced osteopaths, podiatrists, and complementary therapists who share a commitment to excellence in patient care. Each practitioner brings their unique expertise while working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Led by founder Claire Howard-Robinson, whose multi-technique osteopathic approach combines structural, cranial, and visceral techniques, our team includes specialists in various aspects of osteopathy and complementary therapies. Our practitioners have extensive experience working with infants, children, pregnant women, athletes, and individuals with chronic conditions.
